Developed in Germany in the 1970’s by Continental, the 2.5mm thick EPDM features a textured surface, making it also suitable for walkways, balconies, roof gardens, gutters and valleys. Other uses have included the lining of ramps, train carriage roofs and even the decks of boats! Beneath the surface lies a layer of reinforcing, not commonly found in most EPDM roof coverings available today, which allows the roof covering to move and flex with the building whilst still retaining its shape and elasticity.
