Installing the Self Adhesive EPDM Rubber Roofing & Gutter Lining Please take the time to read the Installation guide sent with your order, and also available as a download pdf file opposite. The self adhesive EPDM requires a primer to be spread across the substrate prior to it being laid. The primer is an activator for the bituminous layer, and takes between 30-45 minutes to become touch dry. One dry, it can be walked on with clean footwear during the installation of the EPDM. If the Primed area becomes wet it will need to be dried and reprimed prior to the EPDM being laid. |

Ensure the substrate is clean and dry and free from dust and debris. | |||
|
Spread the FG35 primer over the substrate | |||
|
Roll out the EPDM and position into place, making any cuts as required | |||
|
Whilst in place, remove the backing paper and press the EPDM onto the substrate using a soft broom | |||
|
Heat weld all overlaps using a hot air gun (NOT a gas blow torch) | |||
|
Press the overlap with a hard headed roller to achieve a “bleed out” of the molten bitumen to the edge of the overlap |
