Installing the One Piece Sheet EPDM

	Installing the One Piece EPDM Sheet and Firestone Roll systems Please take the time to read the Installation guide sent with your order, and also available as a download pdf file opposite. The One Piece EPDM sheets require a waterbased adhesive to be spread over the timber substrate (such as plywood, OSB etc), prior to the EPDM being laid. Do not allow the adhesive to dry out before the EPDM is laid, as this will only seal the board and not adhere the EPDM to it. For other surfaces, such as concrete roofs, use the specific EPDM contact adhesive as described in the installation guide. Basic installation Instructions:
		Ensure the substrate is clean and dry and free from dust and debris.
		Lay the EPDM over the roof substrate and let it acclimatise and transit creases fall out
		Pull half of the EPDM back, and spread the waterbased adhesive over the substrate, leaving a gap of 75mm (3”) around the perimeter edge
		Roll/pull the EPDM over the adhesive and use a soft broom to press down the EPDM
		Repeat for the other half of the roof
		Apply the contact adhesive around the perimeter edge and on any upstands, and on the EPDM pressing the two surfaces together forming an instant bond.

	Ensure the EPDM is terminated at the edges, and for areas over 100m2 ensure the edges are all mechanically secured. Internal and external corners can be formed out of the EPDM and a product called Formable Rubber.
