Foil Vapour Barrier is designed for use in roof constructions where extremely high vapour resistance is needed, usually where roof waterproofing is a single-ply polymer membrane (for example EPDM).

Application Sequence

Deck ~ 18 mm plywood, Oriented Strand Board (grade 3) or other roofing boards
  ~ must be well fixed to joists and surface grease and dust free

FG 35 Primer ~ apply by bruh or roller and allow to dry (c 1 hour)      from DIY Roofing Ltd

Self-Adhesive Foil Vapour Barrier ~ peel of backing film and roll firmly down onto deck. Laps should be at least 40mm wide and rolled down firmly. If preferred, they can be sealed with hot air gun. On profiled metal decks, end laps should be minimum 150 mm, with the membrane laid in the direction of the deck with side laps fully supported on the corrugations.
